Resin print cost calculator: material cost from slicer volume

Your resin slicer (Chitubox, Lychee…) shows the volume used in milliliters. Add the price of a litre of resin to get the material cost of the part, supports included when the slicer counts them.

No sign-up. Your values stay in your browser: they are never sent or stored.

Your inputs

Default values are editable examples. Estimates only: check against your printer or slicer.

Enter amounts in your own currency: the result uses the same currency, with no conversion.

Worked example

Example: a 55 mL miniature, supports included, printed with resin at 38 per litre uses 2.09 worth of resin, in your currency.

How it is calculated

Cost = volume in mL ÷ 1,000 × price per litre. For a 500 mL bottle, enter twice its price as the price per litre.

Limits and checks

Allow extra for lost resin (vat, dripping, failed prints) and count cleaning solvent, gloves and FEP film separately.

Frequently asked questions

Does the slicer volume include supports?
Resin slicers usually show the total volume once supports are generated. Read the volume after adding supports: they often account for a visible share of the resin used.
How do I convert milliliters to grams?
Multiply by the resin density from its data sheet, often slightly above 1 g/mL. The resin volume-to-grams converter does this.
Does hollowing a miniature lower the cost?
Yes: a hollowed part uses less resin. Add drain holes so liquid resin can flow out instead of staying trapped inside.
Which currency does it use?
Whichever currency you type the litre price in. No conversion is applied: the cost comes out in the same currency.
Are my values saved?
No. The calculation runs in your browser: the numbers you type are never sent or stored. As on the rest of the site, page visits and button clicks are measured, without the calculator values.

A miniature to print in resin?

Nyzora Studio creates a 3D model from a photo; you then estimate its resin in your slicer. The credit cost is shown before any generation.
