Frequently asked questions

Does GLB to STL keep the colors?
No: STL stores shape only. Colors, textures and materials are lost, and the tool says so before converting.
Will an STL converted to GLB have colors?
No: the source STL has none, so the GLB stays grey.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Reading and converting both happen in your browser; nothing is uploaded or stored.
What is the size limit?
On a computer: 80 MB and 3 million triangles. On a phone: 40 MB and 1 million triangles, so its memory is not overloaded.
