GLB viewer: open a .glb file with its textures

A GLB from a 3D generator, a client or an asset store opens here with one drag and drop, with its PBR materials and textures, lit by a neutral environment. Spin it, switch to wireframe to see the mesh, save an image. The file never leaves your device.

Nothing is uploaded: everything runs in your browser.

What the viewer shows from a GLB

Meshes, PBR materials (color, metalness, roughness), embedded textures and the object hierarchy, all lit by an indoor environment so you can judge materials. Draco- and Meshopt-compressed files are decoded. Animations are not played, and the external textures of a separate .gltf are not loaded: prefer .glb, which embeds everything.

Inspect before publishing or printing

Wireframe shows mesh density and badly triangulated areas. The triangle count appears as soon as the file opens: above a few hundred thousand, a web page will slow down on phones. If the model is meant for printing, the "STL" view shows it without colors, as a slicer will see it, and the STL checker measures its dimensions.

A GLB without colors: why

Some GLB files, especially those converted from an STL, have no color and no texture: they appear grey, and the viewer says so. That is not a reading error; it is the file's content.

How it works

  1. Drop the .glb

Up to 80 MB on a computer, 40 MB on a phone. Draco and Meshopt included.

  2. Rotate, zoom, switch views

Front, left, right, three-quarter; color, black and white or shape only.

  3. Wireframe and capture

See the mesh, then save a PNG image of the view.

Frequently asked questions

Is my GLB uploaded anywhere?
No. Your browser reads and displays the file. Nothing is uploaded and no account is needed.
Are the GLB's animations played?
No, the viewer shows the rest pose. It is an inspection tool, not an animation player.
My .gltf with separate textures shows no colors
The viewer only reads the file you drop. Export as .glb (binary), which embeds textures and buffers in a single file.
Can I print it afterwards?
The converter produces an STL from the GLB and announces the loss of colors. Then check the scale: glTF is in meters.
